In the old west the cowboys wore hats to protect them from the sun and weather. The best color of hat was a light color like a Sand, Silver Belly and Bone. These colors made it so they wouldn’t get so hot in the hot sun. With a custom hand made hat you can get the same kind of hat that the cowboys wore in the 1800’s. The type of hat that they wore was a Boss of the Plains. They didn’t have creases on the crown and they didn’t shape the brim.
